    SalesLeads' experienced research team identified 467  new planned industrial projects during the month of July 2017. Below are a few of highlights on major industrial projects and noticable insights found in our industrial reports. 

    Most New Active Industrial Projects:

    Texas led the way with 36 new planned industrial projects. Followed by California with 31 planned projects, Ohio with 22, Michigan with 19, and South Carolina rounding out the top 5 with 18 new projects.

     

    Most Active Sectors:

    "Food and Beverage" led the way with 83 new planned projects. A few additional highlighted sectors with significant project activity are listed below.

    • Oil and Gas Production - 7 New Projects

     

    Most Active Company:

    Amazon.com, Inc. was the most active company again, with 7 more new planned distribution centers throughout the US.

     

    Largest Planned Project:

    During the month of June, our research team generated 21 new industrial reports on projects with an estimated investment value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned Tres Amigas LLC. The energy company is planning to invest $2 billion for the construction of an energy transmission substation in CLOVIS, NM. Construction is expected to start in late 2017.

     

    Highlighted Projects:

    ALABAMA:

    Metal stamping service provider is planning for the construction of a 60,000 sf manufacturing facility in SYLACAUGA, AL. They have recently received approval for the project.

    FLORIDA:

    Boat mfr. is expanding and planning to invest $25 million for the construction of a warehouse, manufacturing, and office facility on a recently acquired 60-acre site in EDGEWATER, FL. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    ILLINOIS:

    Global online retailer is planning for the construction of a 450,000 sf distribution facility at the Business Park in CREST HILL, IL. They have recently received approval for the project.

    IOWA: 

    Valve and fire hydrant mfr. is planning to invest $13.5 million for the expansion and equipment upgrades at their manufacturing facility in OSKALOOSA, IA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    KANSAS:

    Specialty food production company is planning to invest $40 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades at their manufacturing facility in SALINA, KS. They have recently received approval for the project.

    LOUISIANA: 

    Industrial packaging solution provider is planning to invest $10 million for the construction of a 40,000 sf packaging and logistics facility in GEISMAR, LA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    MARYLAND:

    Municipality is planning to invest $9 million for the construction of a new water treatment plant at 77 W. Frederick St. in WALKERSVILLE, MD. They have recently received approval for the project.

    MASSACHUSETTS: 

    Specialty plastic products mfr. is planning to invest $11 million for an expansion at their manufacturing facility in HUDSON, MA by 21,000 sf. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in September 2017.

    MICHIGAN:

    Automotive components mfr. is planning for the construction of a 150,000 sf manufacturing facility at 902 E. Hamilton Ave. in FLINT, MI. Construction is expected to start in September 2017, with completion slated for Spring 2018.

    MINNESOTA:

    Industrial pipe and tubing mfr. is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades at a recently acquired 237,000 sf manufacturing facility in HUTCHINSON, MN. They expect to be operational by early 2019.

    PENNSYLVANIA: 

    Adhesive and coating materials mfr. is planning to invest $80 million for the expansion, renovation, and equipment upgrades at their manufacturing facility in SAEGERTOWN, PA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
