    SalesLeads' experienced research team identified 464  new planned industrial projects during the month of June 2017. Below are a few of highlights on major industrial projects and noticable trends.

    Most New Active Industrial Projects:

    Texas led the way with 35 new planned industrial projects. Followed by Pennsylvania with 35 planned projects, New York with 31, Michigan with 25, and Florida rounding out the top 5 with 23 new projects.

    Most Active Sectors:

    "OEM Manufacturing" led the way with 78 new planned projects. A few additional highlighted sectors with significant project activity are listed below.

    • Food and Beverage - 71 New Projects
    • Building Materials - 39 New Projects
    • Pharmaceuticals/Biotech - 34 New Projects
    • Consumer Goods Manufacturing - 26 New Projects
    • Logistics/Supply Chain - 28 New Projects
    • Chemicals - 12 New Projects
    • Oil and Gas Production - 9 New Projects

     

    Most Active Company:

    Amazon.com, Inc. was the most active company, with 7 new planned distribution centers throughout the US.

     

    Largest Planned Project:

    During the month of June, our research team generated 39 new industrial reports on projects with an estimated investment value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned FoxConn Technology Group, who is considering investing $7 billion for the construction of a new manufacturing facility at an undetermined site in PENNSYLVANIA. 

     

    Highlighted Projects:

    ALABAMA:

    Aerospace parts supplier is planning to invest $12 million for the construction of a manufacturing facility in AUBURN, AL. They have recently received approval for the project.

    FLORIDA:

    Aerospace engine and components mfr. is planning to invest $130 million for the construction of a manufacturing facility and is currently seeking a site in HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. Construction is expected to start in late 2017, with completion slated for late 2018.

    ILLINOIS:

    Refrigerated warehousing provider is planning for the construction of an 183,000 sf warehouse adjacent to their existing facility in ROCHELLE, IL. They have recently received approval for the project.

    INDIANA: 

    Electric vehicle mfr. is planning to invest $30 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades at a recently acquired 700,000 sf manufacturing facility in MISHAWAKA, IN. Construction is expected to start in late 2017.

    KANSAS:

    Food ingredient mfr. is investing $13 million for the construction of a 58,000 sf processing and office facility in LENEXA, KS. Construction has recently started. They will consolidate their corporate USA HQ and processing operations from various locations upon completion in 2018.

    KENTUCKY:

    Building materials supplier is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades at a recently acquired 125,000 sf processing facility in CORBIN, KY. Renovations are expected to start in Fall 2017.

    LOUISIANA: 

    Industrial packaging solution provider is planning to invest $10 million for the construction of a 40,000 sf packaging and logistics facility in GEISMAR, LA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    MASSACHUSETTS: 

    Food products distributor is planning to invest $9 million for a 37,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades at their distribution facility in CHICOPEE, MA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    NORTH CAROLINA: 

    Energy company is planning for a 400 MW expansion at their natural gas-fired power plant at 6769 Old Plank Rd. in STANLEY, NC. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in 2018.

    NEW YORK: 

    Industrial gas and chemical company is planning to invest $60 million for the construction of a 1,100 ton‐per‐day air separation unit and industrial gas liquefier plant in GLENMONT, NY. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for December 2018.

    PENNSYLVANIA: 

    Energy company is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades at a recently acquired 230,000 sf manufacturing, warehouse, and office facility in WESTMORELAND, PA. The project includes a 60,000 sf expansion. They will consolidate operations from two locations upon completion in 2018.
