Planned Healthcare Project Activity Recap - May 2017 Recap

SalesLeads experienced research team identified 103 new planned medical and healthcare construction projects during the month of May 2017. Below are a few of highlights on major projects throughout the United States and Canada.   

Most New Healthcare Construction Projects:

California led the way with 18 new planned medical construction projects. Followed by Texas with 8 new projects, and North Carolina with 7 new projects.

Most Active Company:

UPMC was the most active company, with 3 new projects in the planning stages located in the Pittsburgh, PA and Buffalo, NY area. 

Largest Planned Project:

During the month of April, our research team identified 4 new medical construction projects with an estimated investment value of $100 million or more. The largest planned project is owned by University of Pennsylvania Health System, who is investing $1.5 billion for the construction of a 17-story, hospital and medical office facility at their campus in PHILADELPHIA, PA. The project is expected to be complete in 2021.

ATLANTA, GA: 

Healthcare service provider is planning for the construction of a 10,000 sf of medical and office facility in STONECREST, GA. They have recently received approval for the project.

BROCKTON, MA: 

Healthcare service provider is planning to invest $22 million for the construction of a 36,000 sf medical and office facility at their campus in BROCKTON, MA. They plan to start operations in Fall 2017.

BARTLETT, IL: 

Healthcare service provider is planning to invest $55 million for the construction of two office and medical facilities located at 1041 W Stearns Rd. in BARTLETT, IL and 2363 63rd St. in WOODRIDGE, IL. They are currently seeking approval for the projects.

DALLAS, TX:

Specialty medical service provider is currently renovating a medical and office facility at 7859 Walnut Hill Lane in DALLAS, TX. Completion is slated for Aug. 2017.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN: 

Healthcare management provider is planning to establish multiple medical and office facilities and are currently seeking sites in INDIANAPOLIS, IN. Watch SalesLeads for updates.

MILWAUKEE, WI:

Chiropractic medical office is planning to invest $1.4 million for the construction of a 6,368 sf medical office facility at 1101-1115 College Ave. in MILWAUKEE, WI. They are planning to relocate their office operations upon completion in early 2018.

NASHVILLE, TN: 

Outpatient addiction treatment center is currently seeking 10,000 sf of medical and office space in BRENTWOOD, TN. They plan to relocate a portion of their corporate HQ in Fall 2017.

JEFFERSON, LA: 

Healthcare service provider is planning to invest $1.5 million for the construction of an 8,000 sf laboratory and office facility at their medical campus in JEFFERSON, LA. They have recently received approval for the project.

PHOENIX, AZ:

Specialty healthcare service provider is planning to invest $30 million for the renovation of a recently acquired 44,000 sf medical and office facility at 6622 N. 91st Ave. in GLENDALE, AZ. No further details available.

PORTLAND, OR: 

Healthcare service provider is planning to invest $220 million for an expansion of their hospital, laboratory, and office facility at 2801 N. Gantenbein Ave. in PORTLAND, OR by 340,000 sf. Construction is expected to start in 2017, with completion slated for 2020.
