    Largest Planned Project

     During the month of June, our research team identified 2 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million of more.

    The largest project is owned by Ross Dress For Less, who is planning to invest $150 million for the construction of a 2 million sf distribution and office center on Woods Rd. in BROOKSHIRE, TX. Construction is expected to start in October 2019, with completion slated for August 2021.

     

    Top 10 Tracked Distribution and Supply Chain Project Opportunities

    Kansas:

    Real estate development company is planning to invest $125 million for the construction of a 2.7 million sf warehouse and logistics complex on the Turner Diagonal in KANSAS CITY, KS. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Georgia:

    Home appliance mfr. is planning to invest $43 million for an expansion and equipment upgrades of their manufacturing facility in LAFAYETTE, GA. They are also investing $32 million and have recently started the construction of a warehouse in CRANDALL, GA. Completion is slated for early 2020.

    Alabama:

    Food and beverage distributor is planning to invest $100 million for the construction of a 425,000 sf office and distribution center in NEW BROCKTON, AL. Construction is expected to start in Dec. 2019. They will relocate corporate HQ operations upon completion in Dec. 2021.

    Florida:

    Ship building company is planning to invest $70 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on their warehouse and manufacturing facility on Nelson St. in PANAMA CITY, FL. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Florida:

    Commercial airline is investing $33 million for the construction of an 87,000 sf aircraft maintenance hangar and office facility at Tampa International Airport in TAMPA, FL. Construction has recently started, with completion slated for 2020.

    Indiana:

    Athletic footwear and apparel mfr. is planning to invest $40 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 635,000 sf distribution center at 3519 Perry Blvd. in WHITESTOWN, IN. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Renovations are expected to start in August 2019.

    Mississippi:

    Furniture mfr. has recently started the construction of a 407,000 sf distribution and office facility in PONTOTOC, MS. Completion is slated for late November 2019.

    New Hampshire:

    Meat processing company is investing $26 million for the construction of a 105,000 sf processing, warehouse, and cold storage facility on Jacks Bridge Rd. in LONDONDERRY, NH. Construction has recently started, with completion slated for February 2020.

    New York:

    Hardware distributor is planning to invest $70 million for the construction of a 780,000 sf warehouse and distribution facility in ROME, NY. They expect to be operational upon completion in early 2022.

    Ohio:

    Automated storage systems mfr. is planning to invest $27 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a warehouse and manufacturing facility at 5000 Commerce Center Dr. in FRANKLIN, OH. They have recently received approval for the project.
