     Largest Planned Project

    During the month of June, our research team identified 2 new Food and Beverage facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more. 

    The largest project is owned by Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc., who is planning to invest $300 million for the construction of a 918,000 sf distribution facility in HERNANDO, MS. They will consolidate regional operations upon completion in Spring 2023.

    COLORADO:

    Food products mfr. has recently started a 240,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades of their processing facility in LONGMONT, CO. Completion is slated for Fall 2022.

     

    GEORGIA:

    Chocolate and confectionery company is expanding and has recently agreed to lease a 728,000 sf distribution center at 875 Hwy. 42 South in MCDONOUGH, GA. They plan to be operational in Fall 2020.

     

    INDIANA:

    Beverage bottling company is investing $55 million and has recently started the construction of a distribution facility in WHITESTOWN, IN. They will consolidate their distribution operations upon completion in Spring 2021.

     

    KANSAS:

    Meat products mfr. is planning for the expansion and equipment upgrades of their processing facility in EMPORIA, KS. They have recently received approval for the project. They will consolidate their operations upon completion.

     

    MICHIGAN:

    Fresh produce company is planning for the construction of a 66,000 sf warehouse in ROMULUS, MI. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     

    MINNESOTA:

    Farm supply and grain marketing cooperative is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on their processing facility in VERNON CENTER, MN. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for late Fall 2020.

     

    MONTANA:

    Ice cream mfr. is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a processing facility in WHITEFISH, MT. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

     

    NORTH CAROLINA:

    Beverage mfr. is planning to invest $19 million for the construction of a warehouse and processing facility in MORGANTON, NC. They have recently received approval for the project.

     

    CALIFORNIA:

    Specialty food products mfr. is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on their recently fire-damaged warehouse and processing facility in STOCKTON, CA.

     

    SOUTH CAROLINA:

    Food products mfr. is planning to invest $9.5 million for the expansion of their processing facility at 8746 Charlotte Hwy. in FORT MILL, SC by 50,000 sf. The project includes the expansion of their warehouse and processing facility at 1 Spice Road in FORT MILL, SC by 20,000 sf. Completion is slated for Fall 2021.
