    SalesLeads announced today the October 2020 results for the new planned capital project spending report for the Distribution and Supply Chain industry. The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity; including facility expansions, new plant construction and significant equipment modernization projects. Research confirms 168 new projects in the Distribution and Supply Chain sector.

    Planned industrial project activity within the sector decreased by 17% from the previous month, but is up 10% YTD from the previous year.

    During the month of October, our research team identified 4 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by Eagle LNG, who is planning to invest $542 million for the construction of a processing, warehouse, and office facility in JACKSONVILLE, FL. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Ontario:

    Pharmaceutical company is planning to invest $500 million for an expansion of their distribution and manufacturing facility in MISSISSAUGA, ON.

    Texas:

    Apparel and home furnishing retail chain is planning to invest $150 million for the construction of a 1.7 million sf distribution center on Global Reach Dr. in EL PASO, TX. They have recently received approval for the project. The site will allow for a future 346,000 sf expansion.

    North Carolina:

    Wholesale grocery distributor is planning to invest $120 million for a 200,000 sf expansion, renovation, and equipment upgrades at their distribution facility in HICKORY, NC. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Alabama:

    Automotive mfr. is planning to invest $53 million for the construction of a warehouse on Will Walker Road in VANCE, AL. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for 2022.

    Florida:

    Shipping and packaging materials supplier is planning for the construction of a 1-million sf distribution center in NAPLES, FL. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Georgia:

    Furniture company is planning to invest $23 million for the construction of an 800,000 sf distribution center in GARDEN CITY, GA. They will consolidate operations upon completion in Fall 2021.

    Idaho:

    Global online retailer is planning for the construction of a 278,000 sf distribution center at 2155 E. Freight St. in BOISE, ID. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Michigan:

    Grocery retail chain is planning to invest $95 million for the construction of a 135,000 sf warehouse and distribution facility at 15675 Wahrman Road in ROMULUS, MI. Completion is slated for 2022. 

    Minnesota:

    Global online retailer is planning for the construction of a 750,000 sf distribution center in LAKEVILLE, MN. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for late Summer 2021.

    Ohio:

    Furniture mfr. is planning to invest $70 million for the construction of a 1-million sf distribution facility in ETNA, OH. Completion is slated for late 2021.
