    SalesLeads announced today the December 2023 results for the new planned capital project spending report for the Distribution and Supply Chain industry. The Firm tracks North American planned industrial capital project activity; including facility expansions, new plant construction and significant equipment modernization projects. Research confirms 204 new projects as compared to 175 in November in the Distribution and Supply Chain sector.

    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of December, our research team identified 6 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more.

    The largest project is owned by CHS Inc., who is planning to invest $700 million for the construction of a process, storage, and warehouse complex in EVANSVILLE, WI. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Spring 2024, with completion slated for 2026.

    Texas:

    University is planning to invest $200 million for the construction of a research, warehouse, manufacturing, and institutional facility on NASA Parkway in HOUSTON, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Wisconsin:

    Convenience store chain is planning to invest $151 million for equipment upgrades on their processing facility in LA CROSSE, WI. The project includes the renovation of a recently acquired 66,000 sf office facility in ONALASKA, WI and the construction of a distribution center at a to-be-determined location.

    Arkansas:

    Aerospace company is planning to invest $100 million for the expansion and equipment upgrades on their hangar and warehouse facility in LITTLE ROCK, AR. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2034.

    Florida:

    Global logistics company is planning to invest $65 million for the construction of a 400,000 sf distribution center on Kraft Rd. in NORTH JACKSONVILLE, FL. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2025.

    Virginia:

    Nuclear components mfr. is planning to invest $49 million for the expansion and equipment upgrades on their manufacturing and warehouse facility in LYNCHBURG, VA. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Georgia:

    Port authority is planning to invest $44 million for the construction of a 300,000 sf warehouse and office facility at their port in GARDEN CITY, GA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    South Carolina:

    Trucking company is planning to invest $38 million for a 102,000 sf expansion of their warehouse, office, vehicle maintenance, and training facility in COLUMBIA, SC. They will consolidate regional operations upon completion in May 2025.

    Virginia:

    Electric material and equipment supplier is planning to invest $37 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a 187,000 sf distribution center in HANOVER COUNTY, VA. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Michigan:

    Marine and RV component mfr. is planning to invest $33 million for the renovation and equipment upgrades on their manufacturing and warehouse facility in LOWELL, MI. They have recently received approval for the project. 

    Massachusetts:

    Foodservice distributor is planning to invest $31 million for the expansion of their distribution center in SPRINGFIELD, MA by 117,000 sf. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
