    Industrial SalesLeads has released its October 2024 report on new planned capital project spending in the Distribution and Supply Chain industry. This report monitors North American industrial capital project activity, encompassing facility expansions, new plant constructions, and major equipment modernization projects. According to the latest data, October saw a slight uptick with 195 new projects identified, up from 188 in September. This increase highlights ongoing investment in distribution and supply chain infrastructure, suggesting a positive trend for industrial growth and modernization in the industrial sector.

    Largest Planned Project

    During the month of October, our research team identified 7 new Distribution and Supply Chain facility construction projects with an estimated value of $100 million or more. 

    The largest project is owned by Aspen Aerogels Inc., who is investing $871 million for the construction of a manufacturing and warehouse complex at 400 Rocky Rd. in REGISTER, GA. Completion slated for 2027.

    California:

    Educational institution is planning to invest $405 million for the construction of an institutional campus in PALM SPRINGS, CA. They are also planning to invest $38 million for the construction of a 26,000 sf institutional, warehouse, and storage facility in CATHEDRAL CITY, CA.

    Florida:

    Commercial airline is planning to invest $300 million for the construction of a 354,000 sf warehouse, maintenance, and office complex in ORLANDO, FL. The project includes the renovation of their existing hangar at the site. They will consolidate their regional operations upon completion.

    Texas:

    Plastic recycling company is planning to invest $145 million for the construction of a processing and warehouse facility in HOOKS, TX. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Construction is expected to start in Summer 2025.

    Arizona:

    Battery casing mfr. is planning for the renovation and equipment upgrades on a recently leased 530,000 sf manufacturing, warehouse, and office facility on Cotton Lane in GOODYEAR, AZ. They are currently seeking approval for the project.

    Minnesota:

    State transportation authority is planning to invest $86 million for the construction of a 175,000 sf warehouse, office, and maintenance campus at 101 Hoover Road N. in VIRGINIA, MN. They are currently seeking approval for the project. Completion is slated for late 2027.

    Texas:

    Aerospace company is planning to invest $70 million for the construction of a hangar and maintenance facility at Perot Field Alliance Airport in FORT WORTH, TX. Completion is slated for 2027. The project includes the renovation of an existing hangar at the site, with completion slated for Spring 2025.

    Virginia:

    Dairy products mfr. is planning to invest $59 million for an 81,000 sf expansion and equipment upgrades on their processing and warehouse facility at 318 Mill Pl. Pkwy. in VERONA, VA. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for Fall 2025.

    Indiana:

    Sporting equipment retailer is planning to invest $47 million for the construction of a 260,000 sf distribution center at 1321 Opportunity Pkwy. in GREENFIELD, IN. They have recently received approval for the project.

    Iowa:

    Food processing company is planning to invest $45 million for a 24,000 sf expansion, renovations, and equipment upgrades on their processing and warehouse facility at 1300 S. Lake St. in CHEROKEE, IA. They have recently received approval for the project. Completion is slated for early 2026.

    Tennessee:
    Logistics service provider is planning to invest $40 million for the construction of a distribution facility in JEFFERSON CITY, TN. They are currently seeking approval for the project.
